About the Author
ShotBG's guides and resources are written and edited by Jack, the founder of ShotBG — an independent developer who builds and operates the tool. The advice comes from hands-on experience building a background-removal product and working through real e-commerce product-photography workflows, not from a claim of formal photography credentials.
How We Create Content
Our goal is practical, honest guidance you can act on:
- Guides are based on real workflows and the actual capabilities of the tools we describe — we do not promise outcomes a tool cannot deliver.
- When we cite a statistic or study, we link to the original source. We avoid presenting unverified numbers, rankings, or "we tested" claims as fact.
- Requirements that change over time (marketplace image rules, print specs, ID/passport photo rules) are described as general guidance; always confirm the current rules with the official source before you rely on them.
- We update or correct articles when information changes or an error is found.
Use of AI
We may use AI tools to help draft or edit content. A human reviews material for accuracy and clarity before it is published. AI-assisted drafting never replaces the requirement that claims be truthful and, where numeric, sourced.
About Product Claims
ShotBG changes image backgrounds; it does not judge whether a photo will be accepted by a marketplace, printer, or government agency. Where a guide mentions platform or compliance requirements, treat them as a starting point and verify the current official requirements yourself.
Accuracy & Corrections
We aim for accuracy, but mistakes happen. If you spot an error or an out-of-date claim, please tell us and we will review and correct it.
